The .nyc TLD has arrived. The first domain name is active, see http://nic.nyc.

We’re helping identify .nyc domain names that can help create a great city. And we need your ideas.

  • Which domain names names should to set aside to serve the public interest, to help run our government, to identify issues and opportunities for public engagement?
  • What names might be used to create markets for ideas and products?
  • What are the “public spaces” in .nyc? (We have parks and plazas in the real world, what are their equivalent in the digital?)

If you’ve an idea for setting aside a domain name, or an entire name-set, e.g., the neighborhood names, send it to us in the below “Your Message” box.
